Aurora & Ice Caves

Overview
In winter the glaciers of the south reveal their caves: tunnels of ancient, compressed ice that glow blue. We enter them only with certified ice cave guides and only when they judge it safe.
The nights are for the sky. We watch the forecasts and cloud cover and go wherever the aurora is most likely to show.
Season: Ice caves typically November to March; aurora from roughly September to April. See dates & prices.
Regions: Vatnajökull & the Glacier Lagoon, The South Coast, Reykjavík
